During August and September the prices of the majority of koi available on koi breeders direct will be cut by 50%, effectively the same as buy one get one free. All prices have been published for twelve weeks at thier full value. The reductions will be noted in the text showing the original value...... 23 April - Back in the UK

Dennis and myself arrived back late on Friday the 18th, after recharging our batteries normal service has been resumed at out Tategoi-Koi offices in Timperley. We will be adding more koi to both of our websites, including all the video images we took of the KBD koi over the last three weeks. Well what a busy first week, we seem to be working like a well oiled machine here in Niigata along with our translator Anri. Our initial focus was to visit selected breeders and sign them up to the new www.koibreedersdirect.com system. This has kept us really busy with transporting our mobile photo lab to breeders such as Shintaro, Hasegawa, Torazo, Oomo, Marusho, and Kaneko. We have been taking fantastic shots and quality video of their ‘Real tategoi’ which are all destined for the mudponds. For the first time as I am aware, customers will be able to buy high class koi, and view them just prior to going into the mudponds, tossai, nissai, sansai and yonsai. To give you an idea we spent a full day with Mitsuo Hasegawa photographing his selection of 40 (yes 40) nissai, sansei and yonsai – what a great day that was. The site is opening soon, I hope you enjoy the selections, which even in its first few months has probably the best selection of available to buy nishikigoi in the world! News - April 2008

On the 7th April 2008 TateGoi-Koi will be launching their brand new website www.koibreedersdirect.com. For the whole of April 2008 the TateGoi-Koi team will be in Japan working with a select number of respected koi breeders, their task will be to source the very best quality and high class koi and TateGoi, destined for mudpond growth through the summer of 2008. These koi will be selected by Dennis Wordsworth (arguably the best koi eyes outside of Japan, Peter Waddington Jan 08). Each koi will be photographed and filmed individually and then, together with a brief description, these photographs and short videos will be uploaded to the www.koibreedersdirect.com web site, with koi priced for immediate sale. While some koi may be selected by customers for immediate shipping, the majority will enter the limited Japanese mud pond space for the 2008 growing season. Koi hobbyists around the world will be able to buy the koi at any time through to the 30th Sep 2008, ownership will transfer immediately to the customer while the koi are still in Japan. Koi hobbyists for the first time, will be able to enjoy the anticipation and thrill of waiting to see how koi will emerge from the growing season, whether tosai, nissai, sansai or yonsai!
